Songtsam Heritage Museum Tour at Linka Shangri-la

Explore Songtsam's private collection of Tibetan artifacts at the Songtsam Heritage Museum inside Songtsam Linka Shangri-la, open Tuesday to Sunday. Gathered over many years by the Songtsam family, the museum brings together thangkas, ritual objects, copperware, textiles and the everyday treasures of Khampa Tibetan life, displayed as a window onto the culture of the Shangri-la highlands and the old Tea Horse Road that once passed through. The pieces tell the story of a region where Tibetan Buddhism, craftsmanship and trade have met for centuries. An audio guide can be rented for ¥68 per person.
