Mani Stone Painting at Songtsam Lodge Bome

Mani stones — rocks painted or carved with mantras such as Om Mani Padme Hum and auspicious symbols — are heaped into walls and cairns along paths and passes across the Tibetan world, each one left as an act of devotion. In this hands-on workshop at Songtsam Lodge Bome you paint your own Mani stone in the Tibetan tradition, guided by lodge staff who explain the sacred syllables and motifs. The activity is available daily from 14:00 to 17:00 in the Grand Conference Room, with no limit on the number of participants. CNY 198 per person; adults and children are charged the same price.
