Overview

About this stay

Bingzhongluo is a flatland embraced by snow mountains, located in the northernmost part of Gongshan County, Nujiang Prefecture, at an altitude of 1,750 meters and covering a total area of 16.95 square kilometers. It is a place of 'cohabitation of gods and humans': each mountain peak is home to a god with its own beautiful legend, and Christianity, Catholicism, Tibetan Buddhism and primitive religions coexist, with multiple cultures colliding harmoniously. The lodge includes onsite restaurants and bars, boutiques, a spa, gymnasium, library and a multi-function hall. The outdoor swimming pool and viewing deck offer idyllic views of the canyon mountains. Songtsam Lodge Bingzhongluo features a total of 45 rooms, including garden-view and pastoral-landscape-view deluxe rooms and two-bedroom suites. Located in the area of the Three Parallel Rivers, Bingzhongluo is rich in natural resources and precious food materials. As the core producing area of Gongshan black truffles, the high-quality truffles of Bingzhongluo are a star at the lodge's onsite restaurant, Restaurant Horizon, where the chef and his team prepare creative fusion dishes using local ingredients such as truffle, red rice, Daohua fish, Amomum tsao-ko and mountain pepper. The events of the Ancient Tea Horse Road depicted in the documentary 'Delamu' were filmed in Wuli Village on the Nujiang River - the only 'living Ancient Tea Horse Road' in China. In Wuli Village, guests can learn from local weavers how to make a colorful Nu blanket, stroll to Puhua Temple to see faint murals over 500 years old, or learn to paint a Thangka under the guidance of local monks. Every Sunday at 10 a.m., villagers hum hymns in the Chongding Catholic Church, which combines Gothic architectural style with northwest Yunnan paintings. Guests are encouraged to start their day with morning meditation and listen to a Himalayan bowl concert in the evening.
